President Abdul Hamid yesterday urged the Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission to timely complete the recruitment process of judges to the vacant posts and thus help ease the judicial backlog, reports UNB.
The president said this when Judicial Service Commission delegation, led by its chairman Justice Hasan Foez Siddique, submitted its Annual Report -2015 at Bangabhaban.
During the meeting, President Hamid advised the commission to make sure so that qualified candidates are recruited to the judiciary.
President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after the meeting.
Abdul Hamid emphasised expanding the activities of Land Survey Tribunal with a view to settling land-related cases quickly at the grassroots level.
The delegation apprised the president of various aspects of the report and overall activities of the commission.
They informed that the commission has updated the course outline of Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission examinations.
Secretaries concerned to the president office were present.
