Bangladesh national football team is going to play their last match of the World Cup Qualifying round when they will face hosts Jordan on March 24 in Amman when a 32-man squad was scheduled to leave Dhaka on Wednesday night.
Bangladesh team will play a friendly match (practice match) with United Arab Emirates (UAE) tomorrow on their way to Amman and will have three days practice sessions in Dubai. Badal Roy, the team leader, stated this yesterday at a press conference at the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Bhaban.
Bangladesh team are now in a disjointed position when they had to leave for Jordan with a half strength side, as some of the key players including the captain Mamunul Islam are serving punishment after being banned in the international matches due to breaching code of conduct and undisciplined.
However, despite having negative aspect Bangladesh team left with the optimistic to do good result, when newly appointed captain Rezaul Karim and head coach Gonzalo Sanchez Moreno repeatedly expressed their expectation to do a good result.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh, who suffered 4-0 defeat at the hands of Jordan in their home match in Dhaka while they also suffered defeats to Australia and Kyrgyzstan at home and away and could manage a draw against Tajikistan in a goalless draw at home but conceded 5-0 defeat in away match.
