Worker killed as rod falls on him

A construction worker died after an iron rod fell on him at Moghbazar flyover construction site in the capital yesterday morning, reports UNB.
Emon,25, was working when a piece of rod fell on him from above at the flyover construction site in front of the Daily Janakantha Bhaban at about 11.45am, Sub-inspector Taposh of Ramna Police Station said.
Emon was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead at about 12:25 pm, the hospital sources said.
