Shipping Minister M Shajahan Khan yesterday said Pakistan with its allies BNP-Jammat are still involved in conspiracies, like 1952 & 1971, to destabilize the country paralyzing economy, reports BSS. He said officials of Pakistan high commission in Bangladesh were withdrawn from Bangladesh for linking militancy network inside the country and running business of fake currency. This is the authentication that Pakistan is still conspiring against Bangladesh. Shajahan Khan urged the Pakistani government to try the 195 soldiers who are accused of war crimes during the 1971 War of Liberation. He asserted that trial of Pakistani war criminals and their collaborators involved in crimes against humanity in 1971 should be held in Bangladesh. "The Pakistani authorities should have to compensate Bangladesh for the damage, destruction and other losses incurred during the war of liberation in 1971," he said and demanded of Pakistan to return 35,000 crore US dollars which was siphoned out from Bangladesh during the Liberation war. "We have to sharpen the spirit of Liberation War to build united resistance against the anti-liberation forces," he added. The minister said BNP had started movement burning people to death to save the war criminals. The shipping minister urged people to resist militancy and strengthen the hands of Bangabandhu's daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for furthering developments in the country.
