Benapole: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested 11 Bangladeshi nationals while they were attempting to cross into India illegally through Daulatpur border point here on Monday night, reports UNB.
The arrestees - Sadik,20, Bishwajit Biswas,18, Joyonto Mallik,17, Ahsan,19, Shamim,16, Bulu Miah,30, Hasan,20, Biplob,19, Mehedi Hasan,17, and Sabur,38, and his wife Sharmin Nahar,18,--hail from different areas of Khulna, Barisal and Jessore districts.
Nayek Subeder Amin Uddin of Daulatpur camp of BGB Battalion 21, said on secret information, a team of the border force conducted a drive in the area at night and arrested the 11 Bangladeshis while they were trying to go to India without valid documents. Later, BGB troops handed them over to Benapole Port Police Station.A case was filed in this connection.
