JU philosophy alumni reunion tomorrow
The alumni association of the philosophy department of Jahangirnagar University is set to stage its reunion on the campus on March 18, a press release of the association said.
It requested former students of the department to contact convenor of the reunion Ashish Kumar Majumdar or member secretary of the association Farid Ahmed for registration by March 15 at phone numbers 01911347575 or 01727209168.

Documentary on Anwara Bahar Chowdhury
University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has showcased a documentary on renowned educationist, writer, and cultural activist Anwara Bahar Chowdhury at the ULAB Auditorium on Monday, says a press release.
Directed by Samir Kushari, the documentary has been conceptualized, narrated, and produced by Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury. Professor Emeritus of Dhaka University Dr Anisuzzaman was the chief guest. Professor Imran Rahman, vice-chancellor of ULAB, presented the inaugural speech at the event.
Anwara Bahar Chowdhury played a vocal role behind empowerment of women during the 1990s. She is one of the founders of Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts (BAFA) in Dhaka. Anwara Bahar Chowdhury is the author of many acclaimed books. Anwara Bahar Chowdhury died on October 27, 1987 after a battle with cancer.

BAU observes Animal Husbandry Day

MYMENSINGH: Teachers and students of animal husbandry faculty of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) on Monday observed Animal Husbandry Day on the campus with much enthusiasm.
To mark the day, they brought out a procession from in front of the faculty and parading main streets on the campus, it ended at the Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin auditorium.
Later, a discussion titled ‘importance of animal husbandry education’ was held in the auditorium.
BAU Vice-Chancellor Md Ali Akbar addressed the discussion as chief guest with dean of the faculty SD Chowdhury in chair while President of Bangladesh Animal Husbandry Association (BAHA) Sayed Sakhawat Hossain, dairy scientist Nozmul Hassan and District Livestock Officer (DLO) of Mymensingh Md Shorafat Zaman spoke in the discussion.
BAU VC said the animal husbandry graduates have the potentiality to bring enormous development in the livestock sector of the country.
