A two-day long 'Digital Innovation Fair-2016' began at Rajshahi College playground in the city yesterday morning.
District Administration organised the fair in collaboration with Ministry of Science and ICT and Prime Minister's office, A2i with a view to encouraging people to use Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for building a 'Digital Bangladesh'.
Shahriar Alam MP, state minister of foreign affairs, addressed the session as chief guest with Helaluddin Ahmed, Divisional Commissioner of Rajshahi presided over the inauguration programme.
Kazi Ashraf Uddin, deputy commissioner of Rajshahi, Mohammad Munir Hossain, additional commissioner (general) Rajshahi, Habibur Rahman, principal of Rajshahi College, Naimuzzaman Mukta, Public Watched expert of A2i spoke as special guests.
Shahriar Alam said the government has been working sincerely for reaching all services to the doorsteps of the people in a hassle-free manner. The common people have started getting digital services like e-governance, e- education, e-agriculture, e-health and other e-services at the union, upazila and district levels, Alam added.
He further said that one day our new generation will develop anti-hacking software and able to prevent any kind of hacking cases of the country by inspiring to these kinds of Digital Innovation Fair, he hoped.
Latest ICT products, multi-media classroom, mobile banking and e-learning items put on display in around 58 stalls at the fair.
