1 held with 8 pistols, 16 magazines

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a man along with eight pistols, 16 magazines and 140 rounds of bullet from Ranihati area in Shibganj upazila yesterday morning.
Lieutenant Colonel Mahbubul Alam, commanding officer of Rab-5, said tipped off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive in the area and arrested Alauddin,50, son of Salimuddin Mandal, a resident of Chamatola village of the upazila, while he was passing through the area by a bicycle at about 8:15 am.
RAB members also recovered 16 magazines, eight pistols and 140 rounds of bullet after searching his bag.
A case was filed in this connection.
