Chapainawabganj: Speakers at a daylong seminar on Saturday stressed the need for growing chemicals-free mangoes and the development of packaging system for increasing the export of mangoes to other countries, reports BSS.
Export Development Bureau arranged the seminar on ‘Export Opportunities of Mango and Mango Products’ with the association of Chapainawabganj Chamber of Commerce and Industry at its conference room.
The seminar was held with the president of the Chamber Abdul Wahed in the chair and was addressed by deputy commissioner of Chapainawabganj Jahidul Islam as chief guest, vice chancellor of Exim Bank Agriculture University Bangladesh Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Akanda and president of Mango Merchants Association and research officer of Export Development Bureau Kazi Saidur Rahman.
The speakers said mango, the most delicious summer fruit of Bangladesh and the other products from mangoes have a bright prospect for exporting them to other countries.
