Former West Indies fearsome fast-bowler Curtly Ambrose expressed his keen interest to work in Bangladesh on temporarily basis.
Recently Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) tendered advertisement for the posts of qualified overseas’ batting, bowling and fielding coaches along with director of coaches for the upcoming session of the BCB-High Performance (HP) programme.
In that aspects, Curtly Ambrose by his local agent expressed his eager interest to work in Bangladesh for BCB-HP programme.
In this regard, Mahbub Anam, BCB vice-president and chairman of HP programme, said that they have received some big names’ interest for their next HP programme.
“We’ve got some big names, who showed their earnest interest to work in Bangladesh. Curtly Ambrose is one of them,” said Mahbub Anam.
It is known from BCB insiders that former Bangladesh head coach Stuart Law, who recently worked with Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket Team till the end of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2016, also showed his interest to work at the development level in Bangladesh.
The 45-day-long camp of the 2016 season is scheduled to commence from June this year with the participation of the newly-exploited fast bowlers from Robi Fast Bowler Hunt Programme and other new comers alongside the previous some players.
It’s learnt that the authority started listing the names of the possible players for the next intensive training camp. Those, who crossed the Under-19 level will be included in this edition. U-19 skipper Mehedy Hasan Miraz alongside Pinak Ghosh, Joyraz Sheik will be included.
