8 �snatchers� held with weapons

Police arrested eight alleged snatchers with sharp weapons yesterday from Patenga area of Chittagong city.
The arrestees were Sohel Rana, 28, Kazi Jani, 28, Abdus Salam, 25, Rubel Shafiq, 20, Kayes, 21, Saimum Shahed, 24, Mubarak Hossin, 24, and Shohag Howlader, 15.
Acting on tip-off, police conducted a drive from Ghat No.17 and Bandartila area and arrested eight snatchers with sharp weapons Mohammad Alamgir Mahmud, officer-in-charge of Patenga police station.
