A four-member delegation of the investigation agency of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) is now on a visit to Narail to gather facts on war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in the district in 1971, reports BSS.
Headed by its chief coordinator Mohammad Abdul Hannan Khan, the delegation yesterday joined a views-exchange meeting at Narail Circuit House with people from all walks of life, including complainants of different cases of crimes against humanity, victims, witnesses and journalists.
Narail-2 lawmaker advocate Sheikh Hafizur Rahman addressed the meeting as the chief guest, while Narail deputy commissioner Md Helal Mahmud Sharif presided over the programme. The probe team is scheduled to stay in the district till March 16 and visit different places of occurrence. They will also record the testimonies of witnesses in this regard.
