Crude bomb hurled at AL rebel candidate�s house

Brahmanbaria: Criminals hurled a crude bomb at the house of an Awami League (AL) rebel candidate at Araishidha village in Ashuganj upazila early yesterday, ahead of the upcoming Union Parishad (UP) election. Local people said 2/3 criminals on a motorcycle arrived and hurled a crude bomb targeting the house of Quamrul Islam Mobarak, a chairman candidate from Araishidha union in the upazila, around 12:30 am and left the scene. On information, police visited the spot, said Selim Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Ashuganj Police Station.
