Youth held with 3,300 bullets in Benapole

Benapole: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive arrested a young man along with 3,300 rounds of bullet from Benapole-Garipara road at Gatipara village in the bordering area of Jessore on Friday night, reports UNB. Acting on tipped-off, a team of BGB members launched a drive in Gatipara village at night and they managed to catch Azizul Islam, 22, son of Kalu of Boro Achra village, after a hot chase and arrested him, said BGB. Later the BGB members recovered 3,300 rounds of bullets, kept in a packet, from his possession. Subedar Gias Uddin of BGB said the arrestee was handed over to Benapole Port Police Station in the same night.
