Bangladesh Muktijoddha Mahajote (BMM), a platform of pro-AL freedom fighters, yesterday rejected the Finance Minister AMA Muhith’s proposal to give monthly honorarium Tk 10,000 to only freedom fighters who crossed age of 65. The leaders of the organisation said that the finance minister’s such sannouncement has created confusion among the freedom fighters across the country and sought Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s intervention in this regard so that all freedom fighters get the above amount as monthly allowance. They came up with the statement in a meeting of its working committee at its headquarters in the capital.
