Rangamati: Fire gutted five houses at Banarupa forest colony in the district town on Friday, reports UNB.
Witnesses said the fire originated from an electric short circuit at Milton Chakma’s house around 5 am and soon spread to four adjoining houses.
On information, a fire fighting unit rushed in and doused the blaze after one hour of hectic efforts.
