11 arrested with bombs

Benapole: Police arrested 11 activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir along with 11 live bombs raiding an underground den at the local office of the student body of Jamaat-e-Islami at Basundia Bazar More in Sadar upazila on Thursday night, reports UNB.
Ilias Hossain, officer-in-charge of Jessore Kotwali Police Station, said on secret information, a team of police first conducted a raid at the office of the Basundia unit Shibir and arrested Billal Hossain and Nuruzzaman around 8 pm.
Later, based on information gleaned from them, the law enforcers conducted a search in a hidden hole at the office room and found nine more Shibir men, including Al Amin, Tito and Badshah, lying inside.
Police arrested them and recovered 11 live bombs and bomb making materials from there.
The Shibir men were constructing a bunker under the earth of the office room targeting to carry out massive subversive activities, added the officer in-charge.
