Youth jailed for stalking in Satkhira

A mobile court sentenced a young man to three months’ imprisonment for eve-teasing a madrasah student in Satkhira sadar upazila yesterday morning, reports UNB. The mobile court of Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shah Abdul Sadi, told UNB that Mafizul Islam, 22, son of Ali Gazi, a resident of south Finri area of the upazila, was jailed for three months for eve-teasing a class VII student of a madrasah. Ochinto Kumar Adhakari, in-charge of Brahmarajpur police camp, said Mafizul used to disturb the girl on her way to madrasah. On Friday morning, locals caught Mafizul while he was trying to pull the girl away by forcefully holding her hand. Later, the locals handed over the stalker to police, added Ochinto Kumar.
