Derailment halts Dhaka-North train service

Pabna: Train communication of the country’s northern part with Dhaka remained suspended from Thursday afternoon following the derailment of a freight train in Chatmohar upazila, reports UNB. Chatmohar Railway Stationmaster Mohiul Islam said two bogies of the Sirajganj-bound train from Ishwardi veered off the tracks near his station around 3:45pm, halting the train service on the route. Witnesses said at least 5-7 passengers were injured when they were getting down from the train hurriedly.
