Two injured with bullets

Two members of a drug cartel were reportedly injured with bullets during negotiation of a dispute between two feuding groups at a house in Charghat upazila yesterday.
The injured were rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH), said Nibaron Chandra Burman, OC of Charghat police station.
Of the injured, condition of Shahed Ali, 30, is critical as he was shot in the chest and the bullet was still inside of his body, said the on-duty emergency physician Dr Mahidul Islam of RMCH.
The other is Moidul Islam, 35, and he suffered bullet injury on his left hand, he added.
The incident took place at the house of one Abdur Rahman at Raotha village at around 9.30am while two feuding groups of drug peddlers sat in a negotiation meeting, said Abul Kalam Azad, additional SP of Rajshahi.
He could not give any details of the incident as he said, the police is still investigating into the case and trying to retrieve the illegal firearms.
