Double murder at shrine: Chargesheets submitted

DB (Detective Branch) of Police yesterday submitted chargesheet against a JMB (Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh) man over the double murder of Rahmatullah alias Lengta Fakir and his disciple Abdul Quader at Lengta Fakir Mazar (Shrine) in Bayezid area of Chittagong. After the murder two cases were lodged one under section 302 and other under section 324/34. The chargesheets were submitted by Santos Kumar Chakma, sub-inspector of DB of Chittagong Metropolitan Police and investigation officer of the two cases. In the charge sheets the indicted JMB man is Md Sujan alias Babu, he is now behind the bars. A total of 25 witnesses in the two chargesheets, said DB police sources.  “For the two cases two separate chargesheets were submitted in register department of the court, later it will be submitted to the court,” said Santos Kumar Chakma, investigation officer of the cases.
