Awami League Advisory Council Member and Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed yesterday said the historic 7th March speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was a source of inspiration for us, as it gave directives for the War of Liberation, reports BSS. “The 7th March Speech made the whole Bangali nation united and inspired the unarmed people to take arms in hand for the war of liberation. That’s why this historic day is inspirational for us,” he said after paying floral tribute to Bangabandhu at Dhanmondi Road 32 to mark the historic 7th March.
The commerce minister said Bangabandhu had declared independence “informally” on March 7 and later, before being arrested, he made the final declaration of independence in the early hours of March 26.
