Mustafa Anwar has been elected chairman of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited in a meeting of the board of directors of the bank on Saturday, says a press release.
The meeting also elected Yousif Abdullah Al-Rajhi and NRM Borhan Uddin as vice chairmen of the bank.
Anwar, one of the sponsors of the bank, is the chairman and managing director of Birds Group. He was also the chairman and advisor of several standing committees of BGMEA.
