Four jailed for catching jatka

CHANDPUR: A mobile court here on Thursday sentenced four persons to one year’s imprisonment each for catching jatka (small hilsa), reports BSS.
The mobile court led by sadar upazila nirbahi Magistrate Kamal Mohammad Rashed pronounced the verdict.
Station Commander of Coast Guard lieutenant M Enaet Ullah said on a tip off, a team of Coast Guard raided a drive in two-launch in Meghna river and arrested them with 400 kg jatka and 4,000 metres current net.
