14 of an int'l fraud gang held in capital

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested 14 alleged members of a  gang, including its 12 foreign citizens, from Uttara area in the capital city yesterday, on charges of fraudulence using social networking sites, including facebook, reports BSS. A spokesman of anti-crime elite force confirmed the news saying that the members of RAB-1 arrested the members of the gang which was found involved in cheating people through social media including facebook on deferent times. "Huge number of mobile phone sets, laptops, dollars and Bangladesh money (Taka) were also recovered from them," he added. The detailed information in this regard will be informed through a press conference, he said.
