Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury yesterday laid emphasis on increasing further collaboration among the South Asian countries to ensure sustainable development, reports BSS.
“South Asian countries can set an example in the globe by enhancing cooperation among them,” she said when Indian Minority Affairs Minister Dr Nazma A Heptulla paid a courtesy call on her in the Indian city of Delhi, said a press release here today.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral issues including parliamentary democracy, basic rights of common people, minority interests of both the countries, education, health, women empowerment, gender equality, common rivers of both countries and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
