�Govt provides allocations for development works�

Being the daughter-in-law of Rangpur, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina specially loves the people of the area and she has taken the responsibility of development for Rangpur on her own shoulders.
As a result, massive development works are being conducted in Rangpur city with the allocations being given by the Prime Minister, said Mayor of Rangpur City Corporation (RCC) Alhaj Sarfuddin Ahmed Jhantu on Wednesday afternoon, reports BSS.
He said this while addressing a discussion after inaugurating construction works of a Reinforced Cement Concrete Bridge by unveiling plaque of foundation stone at Panbari Basharer Ghat on the river Ghaghot under Ward No-31 in the city as the chief guest.
After inaugurating construction works of the long-awaited bridge, the City Mayor also offered special munajats there along with tens of hundreds of the local people of the area from all walks in the society.
The RCC has been implementing construction of the 75-metre long bridge at Taka 2.96 crore under the construction package of 34 roads and three bridges at Taka 60 crore allocated by present government at ECNEC meeting held on August 11 in 2015.
Chief Executive Officer of RCC Ruhul Amin Khan delivered welcome speech in the discussion arranged on the occasion at Panbari Ghat point on the Ghaghot riverbank there with local social worker Dr Nafel Uddin in the chair.
City Councilors Abul Kashem, Akhteruzzaman Bhutto, Mahbubar Rahman Manju, Akram Hossain, Shahjalal Karim Bakul, Female City Councilor Nazma Begum, Executive Engineer of RCC Azam Ali, addressed the discussion, among others.
