Summit Communications Limited (SCL) has successfully completed Info-Sarker project Phase-II much earlier of the schedule time, says a press release.
Earlier, SCL signed a contract with the government for ‘Info-Sarker’ project to provide 3650 connections within 14 districts and 96 upazillas across the country.
The project aimed at expanding the government’s wide network with optical fiber infrastructure to all district and upazillas throughout the country, use ICT system within the public administration to improve efficiency, accountability and transparency, reduce wastage of resources, enhance planning and raise the quality of services.
Utilising SCL’s optical fiber infrastructure, the government has ensured optical fiber transmission network in the remotest corner of the country which will meet both present and future demands for ICT services.
SCL announced its success to complete the project within a very time, much earlier than the given target. To mark this milestone memorable, Summit Communications Limited organised a program at a hotel in the capital on Tuesday. State Minister for ICT division Zunaid Ahmed Palak, was present as the chief guest. Muhammad Farid Khan, vice chairman and director, Arif Al Islam, managing director and CEO, SCL were present on the occasion.
