Amu urges Saudi counterpart

Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu who is now on a visit to Saudi Arabia, called upon his Saudi counterpart to import more skilled manpower from Bangladesh, said industry ministry release here yesterday, reports BSS.
The industries minister made this call while he was in a meeting with Saudi Commerce and Industries Minister Dr Tawfig Fawzan Alrabiah on Wednesday in Saudi capital Riyadh.
“Saudi Arabia has historic relations with Bangladesh and a large number of Bangladeshi workers are contributing significantly for the development of Saudi Arabia”, Amu told the meeting.
At the meeting, they discussed matters of bilateral interests and held discussion on various aspects of proposed aid to the industries sector of Bangladesh under the Saudi Development Fund, it said.
The visiting Minister also has invited his Saudi counterpart to visit Bangladesh and at the same time the minister requested the Saudi Authority to ink a bilateral capital investment agreement between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia during the visit of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
