Mamunul Islam, captain of the Bangladesh national football team, believes that they are very much positive now a days than what they were in the past and their positive approach will be reflected in the match against Tajikistan tomorrow.
Bangladesh will take on Tajikistan in their second home match of the FIFA World Cup qualifying round at Bangabandhu National Stadium. The match will start at 5 pm. The Tajikistan football team have already arrived in Dhaka.
Mamunul, who talked to the reporters yesterday just before going for their practice session at the Astroturf adjacent to the BFF Bhaban, said, “You might watched our matches in the past when we played with only strategy to defend not to concede goals and the targets were at least to have a draw against the big opponents.
“But the scenario changed a lot, now we don’t play with a negative approach but we play every match with the target to win, specially, I can tell you, if you see the last few matches (seven to eight), we played every match to win, we are no more pessimistic.”
“In the next match our aim will be same, to win the match, might be Tajikistan are stronger side than us but our target will be to fight for good result.”
