Closet organisation

Closet organisation is always a challenge especially if you have a hundred and one outfits. Here are some tips that can be useful in organising your closet:
1. In a week, spend at least 30 minutes to organise your wardrobe. Hang the clothes in your wardrobe neatly so you can see everything you have at a glance. Keep everyday wear in the front part of the wardrobe so that you can easily get them.
2. Discard or donate clothes which you do not use anymore, storing too many clothing items together will only make a mess of things.
3. Use organisers in drawers to keep the undergarments, socks and small itmes in order.
4. Fold heavy clothing like sweaters that may lose their shape on a hanger. Also, put formal suit, pants, silk and heavy work sarees and party wear in hangers.
5. Organise your clothes into categories like seasons, occasions, type of items etc. Keep the casual wear, winter and summer clothes in separate shelves.
6. Get slim kind of hangers. They work great because everything is uniform and you can make the most of your space. Put accessories bar to hang belt, tie, and scarves.
7. Keep heavy dresses in the bottom and light dresses upward. Arrange the dresses according to light and deep shades.
8. Keep the outfit ready at night that you will wear the next morning, it will take less time and effort and your wardrobe will be tidy.
9. If you are lazy about tidying up your wardrobe, colour it bright. It will lift up your mood and you will feel motivated tidying up your wardrobe.
10. It is necessary to take care of the clothes along with tidying up your wardrobe. Once in a month put the clothes in the sun.
 11. Put some naphthalene or dried neem leaves in the closet to keep the insects from getting in.
