2 workers die in septic tank

Two workers died after inhaling toxic gas in a septic tank of an under-construction building at Hospital Road in Sherpur municipality area yesterday,.
Quoting witnesses, police said Zahurul Islam, 25, of Jhajhor Binodhor village and Sagar Rahman, 20,  of Naldanga village, fell sick while cleaning the septic tank of the an under-construction building of one Abul Kalam Azad around 9 am. Getting no response from the duo, fellow workers informed the matter to the local fire fighters who recovered the bodies of Sagar and Zahurul from the septic tank.
Police arrested owner of the house Abul Kalam Azad, said Mohammad Erfan, officer-in-charge of Sherpur Police Station.
