Suspended Gazipur City mayor Mannan freed on bail

Gazipur: Suspended mayor of Gazipur City Corporation MA Mannan, who was arrested in an arson case last year, was released on bail from the prison cell of the Birdem Hospital yesterday morning, reports UNB.
Jail Super of Kashimpur Jail part-1 Shubrata Bala said MA Mannan was sent to the hospital from Kashimpur jail a month ago due to his illness.
Mannan, also the advisor of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, was arrested from his Baridhara residence in the capital on February 11 last year in a case filed for hurling petrol bombs on a passenger bus in Gazipur.
