6 killed in road accidents

Six people, including a mother and her daughter, were killed and two other injured in separate accidents in Panchagarh, Chittagong, Bogra, and Gazipur yesterday.
Three people, including a woman and her daughter, were killed and two motorcyclists injured in an accident at Thana Rastar Matha in Lohagora upazila Chittagong yesterday. The deceased were identified as Ayesha Begum, 45, and her daughter Jerin Tasmin Jyoti. The identity of the other could not be ascertained immediately.
Officer-in-charge of Lohagora Police Station Kefayatullah said the accident took place as the driver of a Chittagong-bound bus lost control over his steering while trying to overtake a CNG-run auto rickshaw and hit three pedestrians around 12:30pm, leaving three dead on the spot.
Our Panchagarh correspondent reports: A tractor driver was killed when the motor vehicle turned turtle at Birajot village under sadar upazila in the district. The deceased was identified as Ashadul, 15, son of Afij Uddin of the village.
In another road crash in Bogra, a madrassa student was killed as a truck ran over him at Satrukha village under Kahalu upazila of the district this morning, reports BSS.
In Gazipur a youth was killed in road accident at Millgate of Tongi in Gazipur district early yesterday, adds UNB. The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately.
