The drumbeat of the ICC World T20 2016 is being started with warm-up matches to be held at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium (HPCAS) in Dharamasala today.
In the very first day, a total of two warm-up matches will be held at the same stadium of the Himachal state.
In addition, Bangladesh are scheduled to play their warm-up match on the opening day. But they could not play it due to their engagement in Asia Cup T20 at home den. Even, they are also missing the second warm-up match, which was slotted to be played on March 5.
It’s meant that Tigers have to play their qualifying round matches without playing any warm-up matches. If Bangladesh enter into the final of the Asia Cup T20 2016 winning the last match against Pakistan then they will head to India on March 7, just one day after the Asia Cup final. But if they can’t win against Pakistan then they will fly for India on March 5.
In that sense, Bangladesh will hold a training session at the HPCA Stadium in Dharmasala from GMT 10:00. Tigers will start their World T20 mission with the match against the Netherlands to be held at HPCAS in Dharmasala on March 9.
Bangladesh have been clubbed in the Group-A in the qualifying round with the Netherlands, Ireland and Oman.
