RAJSHAHI: Police arrested an alleged drug peddler along with 248 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup at Deoanpara in the city on Tuesday night, reports UNB.
Humaon Kabir, officer-in-charge of Motihar Police Station, said acting on secret information that a contingent of contraband Phensidyl syrup was going to Rajshahi, a team of police conducted a rive in the area and intercepted a Rajshahi-bound truck coming from Charghat upazila around 10pm.
Later, police recovered 248 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup from the truck. Police arrested Mokbul Hosen in this connection while driver of the truck managed to flee. A case was filed with Sadar Police Station in this connection.
