After so many anticipations and speculations, late popular actor Manna-starrer last film is going to be released this March 25 after eight years of his death. The Liberation War-based film titled ‘Lelamanthon’ will hit different cinemas across the country, including various theatres in the capital city. After quite an extensive delay in the shooting, the film was held up in the censor board for five long years. Director Jahid Hossain informed that the shooting of the film began in 2005. After completing 90 percent of his part of the work, Manna left this world forever on February 17, 2008. After completion of the entire work of the film, it was submitted to censor board in 2011.
Then, the film had to experience a bad time and go through many other different issues. Director Hossain spent five years going after the film that led him to visit different ministries, censor board and Muktijoddha Sangsad time to time. Because the censor board held up the film’s release for two ‘offensive’ scene and ‘sensitive’ dialogue.
DhakaLive has news that after overcoming all the struggles, the film is finally set to release on March 25. Popular artistes Mousumi, Popy, Shahnur, Mukti, Dighi, Bapparaj, Aliraj, Anwara, Shahidul Alam Sacchu and Misha Sawdagar, among others, will be seen sharing the screen with Manna in the film.
