An agreement was signed yesterday in an effort to increase the export of Bangladeshi products to Saudi Arabian market, reports BSS.
The agreement was signed between Bangla-desh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) and Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO), a Saudi Arabian national standard, metrology and quality organisation, at a function in Riyadh, aiming to make acceptable the BSTI standard certificate in the middle east countries as well as enhance the bilateral technical assistance between the two organisations of the countries, said a press release yesterday.
M Iqramul Haque, director general of BSTI, and Saad bin Othman Al-Qasabi, SASO Governor, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu attended the signing ceremony.
