Police recovered the body of a college student from Dhanmondi Lake in the capital yesterday.
The deceased was Sudipto Datta Arjun, a HSC candidate of Birsrestha Nur Mohammad College in the capital.
He went missing on Sunday after leaving his residence in Rayerbazar following an argument with his parents. The family later filed a general diary with Dhanmondi Police Station, said Inspector Helal Uddin, officer in-charge of the police station. Some morning walkers informed local police yesterday after they saw a body in the lake water. Later, Conda Datta, mother of the youth, identified the body. The body sent to the Dhaka Medical College for autopsy. According to the medical sources, no signs of injuries were found on the body.
