Police yesterday arrested two alleged Razakars of Baralekha upazilla in Moulvibazar district within hours of issuing arrest warrant against them by the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1, reports BSS.
The two-member tribunal yesterday morning issued the warrant against Abdul Mannan, Abdul Aziz and Abdul Matin. Of the three, police arrested Mannan alias Monai Miah and Abdul Aziz.
"Monai Miah was the leader of local Muslim League. Aziz and Matin are brothers and went to Barpunji camp in India to undergo trainings to fight the occupation forces.
Later, they fled the camp and joined Razakar Bahini in their locality," prosecutor Sabina Yesmin Khan Munni told BSS.
"The investigation officer launched probe against the trio on October 16, 2014 and found evidences of their involvement in crimes like rape, looting, abduction and arson," she added.
