83 held; yaba, liquor seized

CHITTAGONG: Police in a series of overnight drives arrested 83 people from different upazilas of the district on Monday night on various charges, reports BSS.
Abdul Awal, additional superintendent of police (Special Branch) of Chittagong district, said police detained 83 people and seized 300 yaba and 53 litres country made liquor from different upazilas of the district.
The detainees also include 75 arrest warrantees and 8 accused in regular cases, he said.
