Death anniv of journo Harun today

KHULNA: The 14th death anniversary of journalist Harun-ur-Rashid Khokon, former senior reporter of Khulna based daily Purbanchal will be observe today with a befitting manner, reports BSS.
To observe the day, Khulna Press Club (KPC), Khulna Union of Journalists KUJ) has chalked out different programmes.
The programmes included to pay rich tributes with floral wreaths at the journalists' Monument on KPC premises, discussion and doa mahfil to be held at journalist Humayun Kabir Balu Lounge at KPC today.
Ex-vice president of Khulna Press Club Harun-ur-Rashid was killed on March 2 in 2002 in front of Nesaria Madrasa at Boyra Muzgunni area while he was going to his office around 7pm from his residence at Daulatpur Pabla area in the city.
Later, Additional Police Super filed a supplementary charge sheet to the court against three out of 13.
