Two films releasing in two countries simultaneously today

Under the SAFTA agreement, Bangladeshi film ‘Chhuye Dile Mon’ in exchange of the Indian film ‘Bela Seshe’ will be released today in West Bengal and Bangladesh respectively. Earlier, both the films had received the censorship certificates from the respective countries and confirmed the same-day-release. Bangladeshi film ‘Chhuye Dile Mon’, starring popular actors Arefin Shuvo and Momo for the first time, is going to hit 11 theatres in West Bengal today.
Shihab Shahin said about the release of his directorial debut film in India, “The film is set to be released primarily in 11 cinema halls in West Bengal. Then, it will be screened in 19 halls in total. I think that it’s a matter of great pride for Bangladeshi film industry”.
The film saw its local release on 10 April, 2015. From the very beginning, the film succeeded to attract the viewers, and through the film, several songs of a film earned popularity after a long time. The distribution of the film in Kolkata part has been done by Piyali Films and Girano International extended its hand for releasing the film there. Produced by Asiatic Dhoni and Monforing, the film includes Misha Sawdagar, Sushoma Sarker and Ali Raj, among others, in different roles.
On the other hand, in exchange of ‘Chhuye Dile Mon’, an Indian Bengali film titled ‘Bela Seshe’ will be released in Dhaka theatres today.
‘Bela Seshe’ (At the end of the day) is based on the story of an aged divorced couple. Directed by Mukhopadhyay and Nandita Roy, the film stars Dadasaheb Phalke awardee Soumitra Chatterjee and veteran actress Swatilekha Sengupta. The film’s story deals with the aftermath of an aged couple’s decision to seek divorce after five decades of marriage and how their three daughters, a son and their spouses deal with it.
The film, which brings together the iconic ‘Ghaire Baire’ pair of Soumitra Chatterjee and Swatilekha Sengupta on the big screen after a gap of 31 years, was released in West Bengal on May 1 last year.  In Bangladesh, the film will be released in the prominent cinema halls like Star Cineplex, Jamuna Blockbuster, Balaka, Anada, Shamoli and Shahin. l
