Three of a family held with yaba

Police arrested three members of family along with 30,000 yaba tablets and Tk 6.5 lakh from Golbag Residential Area under Bayazid police station on Wednesday.
The arrestees were Devroto Chakraborty 50, his wife Sumi Archarjee 30, and Dipti Archarjee, 61, mother-in-law of Devroto, hailing from Boalkhali Upazila of Chittagong.
Acting on tip-off, police conducted a drive at the residence of the arrestees and nabbed them along with 30,000 yaba tablets and Tk6.5 lakh. In the primary interrogation, the arrestees confessed their involvement with yaba peddling, said Mohammad Mohsin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bakalia police station.
Sub-inspector Abdur Rob filed a case againstthe arrestees, said the OC.
