Kuwait to import more Bangladeshi manpower, says envoy

Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bangladesh Adel Mohammad Hayat yesterday showed his country’s interest to import more Bangladeshi manpower to boost the economy of Kuwait, reports BSS.
“Bangladesh and Kuwait have long bilateral relations. Kuwaiti Amir will soon visit Bangladesh which would further strengthen bilateral relations including trade and commerce,” he said when he met Speaker of Jatiya Sangsad Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at her office here.
The Speaker said the remittances from Bangladeshi citizen in different countries including the Middle East are playing an important role to the economy.
Terming Bangladesh population as an asset, the Speaker called upon Kuwait to import more Bangladeshi manpower to the country.
