Schoolgirl killed in road crash

A schoolgirl was killed in a road accident in Lalabazar area of the city yesterday morning.
The deceased was Asma Begum,15, daughter of Althaf Hussain. She was the student of class X at Police Line School in the city. Quoting locals, police said a speedy bus knocked down her while she was waiting beside the road at 9 am on Wednesday, leaving her dead on the spot.  On information, police visited the spot and recovered the body. After the incident, bus driver managed to flee said, Athaur Rahman, officer in charge of Dakkin Surma police station.
