Sramik League leader found dead

Patuakhali: A Sramik League leader was found dead at Kuakata on Alipur-Chapli road in Kalapara upazila yesterday, reports UNB.
Being informed by locals, police recovered the body of Mannan Gazi, a joint general secretary of Latachapli union unit Sramik League and son of Abdul Khalek of Maitbhanga village in the upazila, from the spot around 10 am, said police.
Mainul Haque, assistant superintendent of Patuakhali Police, said miscreants might have stabbed him to death and dumped the body here.
Police sent the body to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. However, the reason behind the killing could not be known yet.
