Faridpur: A young man was killed and 15 others injured in a clash between two groups during a football match at Baliar Chora village in Bhanga upazila yesterday morning, reports UNB.
Mijanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Bhanga Police Station, said the clash ensued following an altercation between two groups during a football match at a field in the village in the morning.
At one stage, the rival groups attacked one another, leaving Jamal Sheikh, 40, dead on the spot and 15 others injured.
The attackers also vandalised 16 houses during the clash.
The injured were admitted to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex and Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
