4 JMB men arrested

Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Monday night arrested four alleged members of banned Islamist outfit JMB from Hathirjheel area in the city.
The arrested were Hafez Zafar Ahmed, Rasel Ahmed alias Rinku, Abdullah Al Monju and Rasel Uddin.
Md Maruf Hossain Sarder, deputy police commissioner of DMP Media and Public Relations, said police also seized one laptop, six mobile and some extremist publication. During the primary interrogation, the arrested JMB militants admitted that they were active members of JMB. They were communicating with each other, collecting members and funds through social networking sites.
A case was filed against them with Ramna Police Station in this connection.
