This year, Amar Ekushey Boi Mela has warmly welcomed young writers and poets to put their literary works on display as the fair is not only a long-awaiting festival for the book lovers but also a birthplace for young writers.
Each year, the fair creates good opportunity for new writers to introduce their literary works to book lovers. Bangla academy sources said more than 150 new books of young writers have been published till 23rd day of the month-long book fair.  New titles of some young writers with creative spark have already attracted the bookworms.
Md Nadim Hossain, a student of Dhaka University Mass Communication and Journalism, writes a novel title ‘Niddrita’ from Annasha publications where the young writer describes a life story of a woman as well as the others characters of the novel are on good sale this year.   Citing it as a good sign for flourishing Bangla literature, publishers said they are also getting good response from readers of all ages over new writers’ books this year.  Writer Mehedi, a lecturer of Kobi Kazi Nazrul Islam University. He also won Jemkon Young Literary Award-2013 for his outstanding contribution to Bangla literature. Aleem Haider, a young talent, has presented his 5th poetry book title ‘Baktittobad’ . “Ekushey book fair is a great platform for the young writers as booklovers have extra attraction to our books” said Aleem Haider.
Majedul Hasan, publisher of Joyoti Publication, said new titles of some new writers at his stall are on top of the best-selling list for the last few days.
Meanwhile, some stalls in Ekushey Boi Mela have come up with e-books to provide the facility of reading books through mobile apps or websites. Buyers can buy books at an incredible lower price. Book lovers, specially the new generation, are gathering there. Among these stalls, Nobo IT's Nobo Boi was noticeable.
 "From children's books to adults, we have brought each book in three formats --CD/DVD, Apps/pdf and web version ", said Sayeed Mosharraf, computer engineer and the owner of the stall while talking about Nobo Boi.
